TRAVEL TIPS FOR UAE RIDERS

Planning a motorcycle adventure in Thailand? Here are essential travel tips for UAE riders to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience.

  • Do UAE citizens need a visa for Thailand?

No. UAE passport holders receive a 30-day visa exemption, which can be extended to 60 days at a local immigration office.

  • Best Time to Ride

This motorcycle tour in Northern Thailand operates year-round, with each season offering a different riding experience. Cooler months provide comfortable temperatures, while the green season (June–October) brings lush landscapes, quieter roads, and cooler mountain air after short rain showers—ideal for adventure bike riders.

For riders travelling during Ramadan, halal dining and access to prayer facilities are available throughout the route, and our support team can assist with scheduling prayer stops.

  • What to Pack?

When preparing for your motorcycle tour, pack lightweight, breathable clothing suitable for warm weather. Don't forget essential riding gear, including a helmet, gloves, and protective clothing. A first-aid kit, sunscreen, and insect repellent are also recommended to ensure a safe and enjoyable ride.
  • Safety Tips

Always wear a helmet and appropriate riding gear. Familiarize yourself with local traffic laws and road conditions. It's advisable to have travel insurance that covers motorcycle riding. Stay hydrated and take regular breaks to avoid fatigue during long rides.
  • Local Customs

Respect local customs and traditions while riding through Thailand. Be mindful of cultural practices, especially in rural areas. A simple smile and polite greetings can go a long way in connecting with locals.
  • Are halal meals available?

Yes. Halal-friendly meals are available upon request, and our team plans stops at suitable restaurants along the route. Thailand has a wide halal infrastructure, especially in Northern regions and major towns.

  • Will there be access to prayer facilities during the tour?

Yes. Prayer rooms and mosques are available in major towns, shopping centres, and rest areas. Our support team can also schedule prayer stops during riding days when needed.

  • What is the climate like in Northern Thailand?

Northern Thailand is suitable for riding year-round. Cooler months offer comfortable temperatures, while the green season brings lush scenery and quieter roads. Light rain showers are typically short and followed by clear conditions.

  • What should riders wear during the tour?

Riding gear should follow standard safety requirements. When off the bike, modest clothing is recommended, especially when visiting temples and rural communities. Lightweight, breathable clothing works well in all seasons.

  • What currency is used in Thailand?

The local currency is the Thai Baht (THB). ATMs are widely available, and credit cards are accepted in most hotels and larger restaurants. Currency exchange is easy in Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai.
